jennifer connelly

Jennifer Connelly is only 44, but she’s already starred in dozens of movies and made appearances in many television shows, and she’s even brought home an Academy Award for her role in A Beautiful Mind, for which she won Best Supporting Actress.  She’s a diverse actress with much to offer in terms of her abilities, and she’s been one who has managed to have a successful career and still keep her private life more private than other Academy Award winning actors and actresses. She’s the mother of three, two of which are a product of her more than 12-year marriage to her husband, and one of which resulted from a short romance with a photographer back in the late 1990s. Her kids are relatively unaffected by her role as an actress, and often embarrassed that their mother is famous – in true child-like nature. Since it’s been a while since she’s made any significant headlines, we thought we’d take a look back at Jennifer Connelly’s movies to see which ones were the best – and maybe see if she’s willing to reprise any of those roles.

A Beautiful Mind – 2001

The role she portrayed in this film was not a leading role, but it was one that allowed her a number of award nominations and wins, and it was the role that sent her home carrying an Academy Award. It was, by far, her best role to date.

Blood Diamond – 2006

In this movie she stars alongside Leonardo DiCaprio and the role she plays is a very serious one. There was some speculation that this would be a slightly different role than it was, but nonetheless she played the part with precision.

He’s Just Not that Into You – 2009

Her obsessive-compulsive desire to renovate a home in his movie with her husband results in his desire for a young, hot yoga instructor. Their marriage is on the rocks and she’s barely even aware of the fact that her husband is just not that into her. She plays a serious role and it’s one many women can relate to with ease.
