Dolph Ziggler was enjoying his hiatus from WWE and he told everyone that he wouldn’t be at the Royal Rumble. Then he showed up during the Men’s Royal Rumble match and kind of made a liar out of himself.

He explained his reasoning to Chris Van Vliet and it is understandable. However, that doesn’t mean that he did it for free. In fact, he expanded on this idea and said that he got paid double for the night. Because The Show-Off was actually in town to work a comedy show in Phoenix that he wasn’t doing for free either.

Ziggler was asked if his Royal Rumble appearance was just to cap off his story with Drew McIntyre. He wasn’t sure about that, but he did know how sweet it was to get two paychecks that night.

“I’m not exactly sure but it did go into it more but I don’t know if that continues because I’m still just on vacation. I think it was more just I was in town and I’m one of their guys and it happened to work out so I got a double booking, double pay day, WWE and the comedy show.”

Dolph Ziggler is currently enjoying his schedule as a stand-up comedian. He has an act that can headline at comedy clubs and that is exactly what he is doing.

However, you never know when WWE might be in the same town as one of The Show Off’s comedy gigs so he can pop over and take a few bumps to increase his income for the night.
